bad vibration/shudder on takeoffs

Hi, I have 95 ford windstar van runs good except 1 problem it vibrates real bad almost feels like the van is falling apart if I accelerate to fast. I can let up on the gas and reapply kinda slowly with no problems at all,It also does this in reverse sometimes. But I can put the van down in low 1 and takeoff fast or slow with no vibrations/shudder. maybe a trans problem???

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Torque converter..

Does it change HOT? Right now your have one thing to try. A flush of trans oil and filter. See what your oil fluid looks like..

When you use 1st or 2nd
Your trans is forcing High pressure on the foward clutch giving it a better bite on each clutch disc.
They wont shudder tho, they slip.. Dont run it hard if you need the van, baby it around from now on..

If you change the TC it will almost be as much as doing the transmission too.. They both fail and have failed in the pasted, since these vans are 5500lbs..
So do the fluid change and see what has changed in the disorder first..
Then you will know if you need to invest 2k in a new TC and transmission 100k mile warranty from ford..

100-150k on these trans 99 and up.. Some people say less then 100k but did they ever service the transmission or towed a trailer.. Driving conditions and drivers Foot change the failure rate.
