Can anyone tell me what the original engine size was for a 1972 lemans. Was it a 350 or a 400?

Re: Original engine size

6 cyl or 350 was OE. 455 was special order.

Re: Original engine size

"Base" engine was 350 2-bbl, 4-bbl. optional. 250 CID Chevy 6 was a "delete" option (very rare). 400 and 455 (including "HO") were also available as options.

The vast majority were the 350 2-bbl. NOTE: Anywhere 350 is, 400 and 455 "bolt right in".

Just for clarity, 350 Pontiac bears no resemblance to nor shares ANY parts with 350 Chevy.
