Hey i was wondering where the vin numbers are on the ford C4 transmission and the 302 and where is a good site to decode them to see what year they are.

VIN numbers, by definition, are not located on engines and transmissions. The VIN (vehicle identification number) is located on multiple places on vehicle, but the engine and transmission serial numbers should be obvious on their block/case.
