Musashi and Ishtar owning at Miami Speedjam.

This past Saturday and Sunday was Speedjam. Its an all day event on Saturday with three races at the Homestead Speedway. A Indy car race on the oval, Rolex GT race and Daytona prototypes race on the road course and half oval. there was a concert with 3-Doors Down as the main event, food, car-show, and some playboy models going about. On sunday a few of the VIPs and got invited back to drive thier cars on the oval. It was insane!

Our car club's president had spoken to the organizers a few months ago. they said if we could get at least 30 cars together they would allow us into the speedway and give us resserved parking next to the grand stand. The whole club came out in force, not 30 cars, not 50, 70+ strong we totally owned the place.

I had to get up 8 flights of stairs next to a skybox to get this pic. Its the whole club, from top to bottom, left to rigth. you can only imagine what it looked like when we all drove down the highway, It was impressive.

Some pics closser up.

The wife and I also got trophies for our cars.
I got 2nd place in "All Pontiacs" and the Redline won 1st place in "All Saturns".....against a bunch of Sky Redlines... freaking nuts!

more pic soon to follow.

Re: Musashi and Ishtar owning at Miami Speedjam.

Yeah he forgot to mention i was there too. But i didnt go with them i was invited by the insurance company who was one of the major hosts of the event, Gainsco. I was only able to hang out with musashi for about 30 minutes then I went to the playboy VIP champions club where I was able to hang out with playmates and other people I could care less about especially around playmates, lol.

One of the playmates I actually got to sit down with and have conversations with her for a good while of the day, Miss November 2005 Raquel Gibson. She was a real sweet heart and down to earth girl, also a miami girl who had moved to tampa, go figure right?

Musashi didnt stay long enough for the concert but it was a really good show. The drummer was going nuts, he almost passed out after they played "Duck and Run"

After a day like friday i really needed that saturday. I went on a 1 day business trip to orlando, which is a 4 hour drive from miami. Luckly a friend of mine went with me, he also went to the speed jams event with me so he was meeting the models too (that was an early birthday gift to him). Well anyways, the trip was hell. I had taken the jetta because the RX-8's tires are bald and I didnt want anything to happen to them and i havent done the oil change on the car yet.

Well an hour into the trip my left rear tire started making a noise like a "clack, clack, clack." So I pulled over thinking, crap the tire is flat. I checked it and it wasnt flat, but the treading had lifted up and the metal wiring was sticking out. I got back into the car and drove to the first exit and to a tire kingdom cause as luck would have it that was my spare. All I have to say is what a bunch of A-holes. I told the guy I needed a tire cause mine busted, he said he wasnt allowed to sell me one tire because then they would all be different. I told him okay fine then give me two so then i can use the good one as a spare, then he told me he couldnt sell me two for the same reason. I told him im not buying 4 tires cause the front ones are new tires. So i left and found another tire place and bought two new tires.

We made it to orlando, but two hours late, to meet with the insurance companies and enjoy the party they had for the night.

It's now 11PM and we left the party, about an hour and a half I'm being followed and I see the lights turn on. I pull over and im like WTF I wasnt speeding, I had it on Cruise control at 65 in a 70. The cops asks for my license, registration, and insurance. I give him the stuff and tell him i dont have the new insurance card yet but i do have insurance. He told me okay and gave me back the insurance card. He then asks me if i have my daytime lights on or my actual lights. I told him the switch is on and I turn it on and off to show him. He told me "Okay well the thing is that it looks like your tail lights are out" I'm like what? Cause I had just changed them 2 months ago. He told me he's gonna give me a warning for the lights but he has to give me a ticket for the insurance, and to just send in proof of insurance to the courts and it will be taken care of. He told me to go to the rest stop and see if they have lights, but to drive with my emers on.

I get to the rest stop. Sold out of lights. I check mine to see if they are burned out of if its a fuse. They are burned out. The rest of the trip im driving with my emers on. I'm like, what else could go wrong.

We get back to miami, its now 4:30 AM, we go to walmart to get the tail lights, sold out. I say screw it and I take my friend home and I go home. The next day was the Speedjams, I'm on my way over there and before I get to the parking lot the oil light comes on. I Start laughing and my friend looks at me and he asks why im laughing. I say "You know how i asked what else could go wrong?" I point at the light. I pull over and check the oil, it is a little low so I put some oil in and continue on. The light comes back. After we park i check the level of the oil and its full. so as of right now im thinking a sensor went haywire and its driving me crazy.

So yeah I needed that saturday, lol.

Well, in that case I retract, but I'm still green with envy.

And, that guy needs to be kicked in the tea bag. I've never been to a place that wouldn't just sell you one. So every time someone gets a flat they should get four new tires? What a douche.

Depends on the car and the tire. One of the guys I work with is a Scooby guy, and he says it sucks getting a flat or torn up tire. Because of the differential on it, you need to get four new tires, or else the tire with less tread wear will throw everything off.

NSX= pure fucking sex. And Ion Redline>Sky Redline, despite the fact they are slower. That whole thing looked like a blast, some pretty sick cars there. And I think I'm going to kill you because the sun seems to like it better where you are. Havent seen a day over 55 here since summer.
