WIP Viper SRT-10 Coupe

I'm going crazy for the Viper right now. I seem to be building everything in pairs as well (twin FW-24, Xanavi R34, C6-R, C5-R...). I'll be adding the white stripes and clearing this one hopefully this week.

The red is Tamiya TS-8, rest of the engine is Tamiya acrylics. Chrome is duplicolor decanted and airbrushed. I still don't get washes. Mine always looks like the oil pan exploded!

Body is duplicolor intense blue pearl, you guessed it, decanted and airbrushed. The results with this paint is stunning!

Chrome was stripped from the wheels and painted an XF-56, X-11 mix, but I think I'm going to paint them X-10 gunmetal with a gloss finish. Will look more aggressive IMO.

C&C welcomed!

Holy crap, that paint is amazing! The engine/transmission is very clean, much better than mine! Did you paint the letters silver, or the decal? I tried using silver, but its too small for my skill. Also, how did you get all the chrome off? It seems my sand paper gets most, but not all.

This is going to look really good when finished, cant wait!

The letters are drybrushed MM chrome; they need to be touched up. The decals pretty much dissolved on me instantly. The easiest way to strip chrome is household bleach. Takes it off in 10 minutes. You can then soak it in brake fluid to get the coating off the plastic, but I never do.

Thanks
