04 chevy express 3500 won't start

The battery checked out fine but I can't get the engine to crank. The gauges on the dash come right on but when I turn the key to start nothing happens. Could it be the alternator or starter? Any help with this would be great.

Starter solenoid is the likely culprit.

Thanks for the info. I think you are probably right. I had the starter tested this morning and it passed. When I got it back on the van it started right up. I better get it changed before it happens again.

Re: 04 chevy express 3500 won't start

You need to check it on the truck when it acts up.
When no start check for 12 volts in crank position at the smalll wire on solenoid.
If 12 volts to it and no start it is starter or solenoid or battery cabels or battery.
If no 12 volts there in crank work back there starter relay and fuse and neutral saftey switch to ign switch.
