Had a friend recently notice my reverse lights are out on my 97 eclipse. I checked the fuse by the dirvers kickplate, its good. Checked both bulbs & they're good too. Anyway, before I start trying to follow the wiring harnes... anybody had a prob like this / fixed it?
I may have disconnected somehting when I put in the altezzas last year but thats all I can think of. |

The reverse switch on your transmission could have gone bad.

Thanks for the info.
Now is replacing this swithch on the tranny something easily done. Without looking @ the repair manual do you know where it is located. Guess I gotta dig out my old Chiltons or what ever its called & figure this one out. Bet the dealer would charge hundreds for the fix... Bastards!

Yea, it is one of two connections to the transmission. It is on the opposite side of the transmission as compared to the starter.
