Squealing noise when accelerating in 1st and 2nd
I've got a 1994 Nissan pickup 5 speed standard transmission. It squeals/whistles when accelerating in 1st and 2nd gears for about 5 seconds or so and then stops. If I put the clutch in the noise immediately stops and starts up again when I release the clutch. It will not make a noise while idling, even if I give it gas. It does not do this 100% of the time and I don't notice any change whether the engine is cold or not. Lately, the squealing has been lasting longer. Any suggestions?

Re: Squealing noise when accelerating in 1st and 2nd
Hi,
Sounds like your one of your belts are loose. Check them. If the problem happens when the AC is on, its probably the airconditioner's belt. Regards, G2L |
