HELP: Sensor Needed

I noticed this morning that the wires on this sensor has been cut - probably due to the wires rubbing on the metal frame during installation. I think it's called the exhaust high temperature sensor on WINCAPS (part # MD305556) but I'm not sure. Anyways, anyone have an extra one? Jason????

-Oh yeah, I have a '94 SL with EGR. Thanks.

Re: HELP: Sensor Needed

You can block off your EGR and use a 10k ohm resistor in place of that sensor. No real need to buy another one. I'll dig around to see if I have a spare though.

Re: HELP: Sensor Needed

Not 10k ohm. 10 ohm. 10k ohm is a HUGE resistor.

If you want a resistor I'll mail you one. All you have to do is bend the resistor into a U and "plug it in" to the spot where the EGR plugs in. The just run some black tape around to hold it in. No CEL and no more EGR.

You just need block offs to complete the mod.

Re: HELP: Sensor Needed

Well I'm from CA and I need the EGR for emissions testing, right? Because the last time I had a SMOG check the guy tested the EGR for something...

But yeah, let me know what you find Girly VR-4. Thanks.

Re: HELP: Sensor Needed

Actually I think I have an EGR from a 94 DOHC in the garage. Make me an offer.

Re: HELP: Sensor Needed

Brian, it is a 10k resistor. I posted under emilie's name out of laziness yesterday haha. It's not a huge resistor. It's as small as a 10 ohm resistor

Re: HELP: Sensor Needed

The 10k resistor I had was huge.

I'm now running a 1/2 watt 10ohm resistor and it keeps the CEL away.
