Robby Gordon's 2006 Menard's Monte Carlo

Decals were sent to me atleast a year ago and I have a client that loves the paint scheme so I decided to dive in. It will be a standard clean shelf build which is my mode right now.....

The decals were drawn and printed by Thad Brooks and they are in need of a second set for the white areas which Thad is doing for me. Paint is a neon yellow by Sems called Chartruse I believe? Anyways here it is all painted decaled and cleared. I will apply the extra white decals when they arrive and coat them with Microgloss for protection. I cant reclear this thing anymore!!

Hi David,
Fantastic work as usual.
You are inspiring me with the clean OOTB building style right now.

I have a couple of client builds to complete as well, but it seems I was unlucky in the fact that I got some lemon kits that required a lot of extra work to make them look good.

Re: Robby Gordon's 2006 Menard's Monte Carlo

Kudos to you David.

Could you please describe tome in detail how you polish up your 2K clear?
Last time i tried, I couldn't get it as glossy as it was straight off the gun. I ask because this is my one weakness with using it over Acrylic Clear Lacquer. However that chews up decals, and it's obviously no good for Racecar modelling. Also, 2K Clear seems harder, so do you use a lot more elbow grease?
My main concern is that I might be unable to polish out trash in my paint, like I can with the Lacquer Clear.

Great job on this! I second the motion for polishing tips!!!

Are you going to polish this one, or leave as is? I think I could build much faster if I didn't have to polish these damn things all the time!
