park lights and radio questions

All,

My dad just bought a 95 tercel DX model. With the key out of the ignition, if you turn the lights on, the radio comes on (along with the headlights obviously). With the key on (run position), the park lights are always on.

We don't have a manual for the car so I don't know if this is normal or not. Seems wierd to me. I'm not aware of any other electrical issues. Everything else works as expected on the car..

Any ideas?
