Re: Torque sequence?????
General rule of thumb is from the center, criss-crossing your way outward.

Re: Torque sequence?????
What engine? I have the Haynes manual for the 2000+; if you have the 4.0 let me know and I'll look it up (I'm away from home right now but will check when I get back tonight)

Re: Torque sequence?????
Pretty much like WrightZ28 said....from the Haynes manual, here's the sequence for the 4.0:
there are 7 head bolts on each side, I'll number them in the order suggested: <---FRONT 12.....8.....4.....1.....5.....9.....13 11.....7.....3.....2.....6.....10.....14 So basically you start at the middle one on the passenger side, and go clockwise and expanding towards the outside as you go. The book also says that #14 is up under the forward edge of the windshield, and you should put that bolt in before placing the head on the block. Hope that helps....
