Insurance question!!!

Hey guys
I love the RX-7's, i think they are ingenious, and beautifull cars, and want to get a 93-95 BADLY. Being a college student (international one too), my greatest concern with the RX-7 would be insurance cost. Most of the work on the car i would do myself, so that isnt the issue. But how much is insurance for these things? Can each one of you tell me how old you are, what is your driving record and conequently how much you pay? I am 19, have had a full license for almost 3 years, 0 tickets, clean record.
Help would be greatly appreciate, thanks a lot

IF your insurance company will liscense you on the car **good luck..** and if you're wanting the FD... the engine is only good for about 50,000 miles... they melt. so you'll be looking at a lot of money there... i'm 17, no tickets, clean record, good student insurance thing, insurance lowering class thing... and they won't insure me on my FC. for liability and property damage coverage only, it's about $140 a month here in phoenix, but it'll vary from city to city. good luck though!

I am aware of the mechanical issues that come with that car, i personally think that if you take care you the car like you should, and follow maintenance, and do a few mods under the hood, the car can last a long time.
Yeah and i would definetly not get full coverage, only the mandatory stuff.

im 18, have been in 1 accident and 1 speeding ticket, and my FC has been insured under my name for about 10 months now. $1900 a year. Yech.

And FD motors last a lot more than 50k if streated good. If treated ok, 80k, and poorly will net you 50k.

You can go to rx7club.com to know the real technicals with the FD.

My fiance had a 93 rx-7 with 22,000 miles on it when he was 19. His insurance was right around $2,000 a year.

Nevermind, he just called me from work and I asked him. He said he had a perfect driving record and it was $1,300 a half. That would suck
