AT filter for rodeo 2004
I just did a full change of ATF on my rodeo 2004 by disconnecting the oil cooler line and had 12 qt of fresh fluid thru the system.
But I haven't touched the filter. I think it's a mesh screen which does not need changed like the paper filter type filter. Anybody changed one of these before?

I've had mine flushed 2x and I'm at 85k now and I'm planning on having the filter replaced this summer.
There are photos in the FAQ's on what the filter looks like.

I've changed mine 2x and it looked ugly each time.

The picture shows the pic of a 430LE tran.
I have a AISIN tran.

The AISIN trans will also have a filter and its not a bad idea to change them. Once you drop the pan you will find a magnet that will collect metal filings that can also be cleaned off.
I've been changing filters every 50k kms but my transmission is a hunk of crap 4L30. I'm not sure what the suggested change interval is for the filter on the AISIN transmission. How many miles are on your vehicle?

I have 40k now on mine.
I talked to some people and they all said: The filter is a mesh metal screen. You don't have to change it. You can clean it out if you want but no change required. I haven't seen a filter for the AISIN.
