trans scanner tool?

Reading the thread about ABS scan tools I'm wondering if anyone has a transmission scan tool. I currently have an innova obd2 handheld unit, I'd like to purchase an ABS one. If I had a ABS 1 I think I'd be pretty much set. With the ABS, Innova and trans is there any other major system that I wouldn't be able to read?

Re: trans scanner tool?

Some transmission ABS code scanners pic up air bag codes as well.. Not all do but a lot them do.. The cheapest I have be able to find was on E bay for 980.00
But now thats gone and still not sure if it would have worked on a 2001.. If you do want one there are some name brands out there that do it all.. But you can spend any where from 1000-5000 Bucks for them. Thats why I dont have one friends are cheaper if not free.. Also New today, Old tomorrow. New cars 2008 may work.2009 it may not work on them if the scanner did not come with updates.

Re: trans scanner tool?

Looks like a nice unit.
I read through the 58 page manual that they have a link to on that webpage.......sadly, it does not mention anything about cycling the ABS unit......
