79 cutlass spark?
a 78 cutlass just got a chevy 350 put in it ran berore motor swap. the wire on the hei gets power with key on engine off but when you turn it over no spark
 any ideas? changed dist,coil,alt,batt,cables,fuseable links..

Ok, that wire you have connected to the dist should be powered by a live circuit during cranking as well as key on, find one out of the ign switch or fuse block and rewire it.
