95 Town Car Intake

Hey guys, I noticed that my intake is leaking on the front drivers side kinda by/under the thermostant housing. I know its the gasket, but my question is do I have to replace the intake as well?

Thanks..

Bryan

Hi Bryan.
1st, do you have the upgraded Intake Manifold with the Aluminum front coolant crossover, or the factory installed Manifold with the composite front crossover?

If you still have the factory 100% composite manifold, the leak you see now might be a fine crack developing in the front coolant crossover.

Hey Steve. It is solid cast aluminum. Not plastic.

I'm pretty sure mine has an O-ring seal there. If you inspect & find good smooth castings, a new o-ring should do the trick.

If your castings are bad, you might be able to fortify the seal with some goop as mentioned previously.
