how do u chip a h23a1?

i recently bought a spoon sports p14 chip from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SPOON...spagenameZWDVW
and he gave me a website for instructions http://www.angelfire.com/extreme3/dr...a_honda_92.htm
and it talks about a 74HC373 chip...do i need that? or is that for JDM only??
plz help me smart ppl! thanks

first of all, looking at the ebay page, i very much doubt that the chip is actually made by spoon sports. be careful when you do it so it doesnt blow up your motor. second of all, looking at the instructions, the answer to your question is yes you need it. but ive never chipped an ECU so i wouldnt know for sure. i would try and find a couple more people who know how, im sure there are people on here if they would chime in.

Lol yeah it does look a little odd...but thanks for at least tryin 2 help...any body got any more advice?
