TONNEAU COVER - Hard or Soft?

I AM DEBATING WHETHER TO GET ONE OF THE TWO TONNEAU COVERS HERE - WHICH WOULD BE BEST? http://www.brainerdautobody.com/PART...bed_liners.htm
AND ARE THESE GOOD BRANDS?

Re: TONNEAU COVER - Hard or Soft?

I have a hard tonneau cover which is nice but it take three people to take off. I would go for soft because they are cheaper and easier.

Re: TONNEAU COVER - Hard or Soft?

i love my truxedo. very easy to install and quick to roll up. its very low profile and does not have the support bows that stick up. i highly recommend it.

Re: TONNEAU COVER - Hard or Soft?

I have had both the soft ones that roll up and the soft ones that have a hindge on the back and gas springs up by the tailgate so you can lift it up to get in, and i would recomend whichever one you get to be one that hindges so when its cold out and you need in you dont have to undo it and roll it up and then have a bear of a time getting it back on, you can just drop the tailgate undo the latch and lift it up.

Re: TONNEAU COVER - Hard or Soft?

I've had an Access, soft cover on my truck for about 5 years now and I'm still very happy with it. It's real easy to roll up. It fits between the bedrails, the bows are velcro'ed to the cover so when I roll it up it all goes together. I know they even make a version of the soft cover that is lockable.

You can check it out here: http://www.agricover.com/index.php/p...s/category/C9/

Re: TONNEAU COVER - Hard or Soft?

I have a hard tonneau on my 2001 Silverado. I wish I had one that rolls up like the old roll top desks. Carring anything a little tall is a planed activity

They're just like the hard covers. It's an aluminum frame with the soft tonneau cover that's hinged at the front of the bed and has shocks toward the rear for lift. I think a company called Extang makes one of this type
