Break Light Not Turning OFF

The break light is not turning off in the tail lights. However, the break light that is on the rear window is turning on/off. I am guessing its some kind of shortage. Anyone have experience with this that knows how to fix this.

Possible solutions with some steps would be really helpful to fix this problem. I appreciate your input guys.
Thanks
Martin

Re: Break Light Not Turning OFF

According to the information available from a schematic of the lighting system, the brake light switch under the dash has 2 seperate switchs in it. One is for the main brake lights and the other is for the high brake light.

It is possible that one side of this switch is shorted out. I would unplug the switch under the dash attached to the brake pedal support. If the lights go out, then I would replace the switch. Be sure to adjust it properley when installing.
