Exclamation coils melted,still has miss

2.0 dohc engine, both coils melted , changed them new coils plugs and wires it will now run, but very bad it is missing for sure , backfires thur intake , just pulled timing cover and everthing is good , i am a 100% sure engine is in time but acts like it is out , computer could have been wet but it does still show information on scan tool. thanks ahead of time if anyone has had this problem and know anything!!!

had no codes , but i fixed it today unpluged the computer and it still had a ground on one of the coil connections, replaced wire from computer to coil and that was it runs great.
