STS 2005 Traction Control Message

I have a 2005 Cadallic STS (6 cyl) with 10500 miles from new. Yesterday when driving home in normal stop/go city traffic at 30mph+/-, from the DRs office a message appeared on the Drivers information pane that was (something like) "Tranction control - ---- not ready" this message stayed on the display for several minutes during the time it was displayed

I tryed turning off/on the traction control - but that had no effect. I have never seen that mesage before and it did not reappear durning the 20 mile trip home.
What's happening?
Trip to the dealer needed?
Thanks for any help

Same issues, did you get it scanned by the dealer yet?

1 and a half years later, I don't think we will get a response here!
