First Sketch, Help

Gday guys, This is my first post and sketch in this forum.

I used to do tech drawing in school 4 years ago, and recently while i was bored i thought i might try my hand at sketching.

Trying to remember everything i learnt back then i came up with this, A fairly rough escalade.

I know i need to work on everything, but i was just wondering what could make it better, Im thinking of using a really light pencil to do the rough sketch, and then use a darker pencil to do the final line work

im also going to invest in a sketch pad and some derwent pencils,( maybe water colour)

any other hints and tips and comments and criticism would be awesome.

Scotty

Re: First Sketch, Help

First sketch, thats pretty damn good, remember, first impressions last. I think you have real potential, so i think you should look at pics of real cars, and maybe shade in reflections realisticly, something like that? otherwise, thats looking pretty good!
