91 DX to b16 88 si style seat belts

First FYI I'm new to the site. I currently have a 88 SI with a B16a with a YS1 tranny. I'm thinking about buying a 91 DX. I want to take the engine trans and brain out of the SI and put it into the DX. Before I start this project it would be awesome to get some heads up on problems I'm going to run into. I would also want to transfer the seat belts off of the door and attach them to the body like the 88 SI. Will the interior panels transfer between the 88 DX and 91 Si? What will I be getting into? If anyone could tell me what I'm in for or point me in the right direction so I could find out it would be awesome. Thanks.

As far as swapping over the B16, thats fairly straight forward. You will have to dent your driver side frame rail to get the alternator pully to fit. You will also need mounts and a shift linkage.
But you said you already had this swap in your current civic, those mounts/linkage/axels will work. Just be sure to swap them all over into the new civic.
OH, and use the wiring harness thats currently attached to the B16.

As for the seat belts, That i'm not sure. I know all the Canadian Civics have the seatbelts on the body.. YAY!
You may be able to make it work, you'll definatly need to remove all the seatbelt parts from the door and possibly custom make some sort of mounting bracket for the body????
