What's it sound like ?

I was reading some posts about fuel mileage and such, when I read about a few people installing a "flowmaster" cat-back exhaust system. I was wondering what this system would sound like on a 4.3 vortek v-6 ? I know that it sounds great on my '95 2500 p/u (5.7 v-8) , but I just don't know what to expect out of a little 6 ! ( I don't want it to sound like a rice burner ) Does anyone have a sound clip that they would be able to post? I'm only asking because I am in need of a new exhaust system soon but would like to hear what it would sound like before shelling out the money for the performance system (especially if it's not going to sound good).

Re: What's it sound like ?

Thanks I did the "youtube" thing & I think that they sound fairly good with a performance exhaust.
One question though.... Why would this post be moved from "general discussion" to "problem diagnosis"?!!! If you ask me there is no problem to diagnose.(I think someone has to much fun in moving peoples posts around)...WHAT-EVER !!!!!

Maybe there's more traffic and better chance for a reply plus we have some historically outstanding hot rod Pro Mechanics keeping an eye on things here...if a '64 426 Maxwedge A990 car means anything to ya .

I use the CGS Motorsports muffler on my "94" Blazer w/ 4.3 "W" motor. I've noticed added horsepower, torque and increased gas mileage. My exhaust system is loud inside the vehicle but they do sound throaty at the tailpipe. They make a stock 4.3 engine sound like a healthy small block V-8. Here's the URL http://www.cgsmotorsports.com/Exhale/mufflers.htm I have Flowmaster on my "97" Blazer w/4.3 "W" motor, and I still like the sound and power difference on CGS muffler better. Its not as loud as flow master. Add a Cool Air System and she'll really sound and perform great.
