Them & coolant temp sensor replacement
The Haynes manual states to 1st partially drain the radiator, I'm trying to get around this. If I park level & remove the thermostat housing, then the temp sensor, how much coolant do you think would come out (from the temp sensor location).
I'm just not sure how quickly I can screw the new sensor into that tight spot to stop the flow. |

Re: Them & coolant temp sensor replacement
what motor is in it?
If its the 3100, you should be able to remove the ECT sensor and replace it with a new one without virtually any coolant loss providing your motor is cold. With the 3800, you will lose all the coolant from the thrmostat housing and a lot from the upper hose.
