1990 Royale 88 won't start
I have a 1990 oldsmobile Rolyale 88, 3.8L with 172,000 miles, and it won't start. It doesn't even turn over for that matter. It has a new battery so i don't think that that's the problem. I'm not sure whether it's the spark plugs or if it's an engine problem. Thanks for all the help ahead of time.

Re: 1990 Royale 88 won't start
Welcome to AF, very general non-specific query, do you mean the engine won't spin/crank at all or it does spin over but not fire?

It doesn't fire. and when it does fire, it just shuts off again. and it spits out a lot of smoke.

Check for fuel pressure, check for raw fuel in the vacuum hose at the regulator. This is step one in the diagnosis.
