toyota camry 91
I am considering buying a toyota camry from a student owner of the car. 1991 toyota camry, single owner, moderate condition, owner says she has had the car from college. it has 100k reading on the odometer. is 1500 a legit price to pay for it? what checks should i do before buying the car? how much will a carfax report help? your help is really appreciated.

Re: toyota camry 91
Buying any vehicle in this price range that will outlast your investment " say 18 to 24 months without major problems " is a good investment, how to find them and know what to look for becomes the key issue.
start with following the steps in this link http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html from there should vehicle still be of interest make deal subject to an independent mechanical inspection, it will cost you a few bucks but peace of mind not wasting your total purchase price on a lemon that may only last a few weeks. CARFAX, while it can be a good investment to many buyers waste their money getting this service as most dealerships will provide this info free of charge simply by asking, that is providing there is nothing to hide. Don't waste your money on Carfax in your price range the report dont come into play, present CONDITION of vehicle to outlast your investment is all that matters.
