88 camry brake lights don't work
The warning light on the dash come on that says LIGHTS.
No brake lights at all (including the 3rd one) We have replaced the fuse, bulbs, and we bought a new brake light switch. They still aren't working. All other lights work fine..does anyone know what else it might be? Thanks.

Re: 88 camry brake lights don't work
Check the loom of wires inside the trunk, by the driver's side trunk hinge. The wires in that loom are exposed to a lot of flexing over the years, as the trunk lid is constantly opened and closed. Eventually, some of the wires inside that loom will break. Open up that loom and look for frayed or broken wires. Repair as necessary.

Re: 88 camry brake lights don't work
Here's something that worked for us! When you look on the driver's side of the trunk, under molded carpeting, you will see the yellow brake light failure sensor box! We replaced that and now all the brakes are now fixed thanks to this forum. If you get this, DON'T get this at the dealership, as they will charge $100.00+, but, start calling all the wrecking yards in your area, and you will hopefully find what you're looking for! We did, through this forum, and this saved our brake lights and now they are working perfectly! Hope this works for you!
