We have a 95 Mustang with a 3.8L V6. We have had the car over a year and it has run very nice up until now. It has just over 100K miles on it. Recently it started missing and running very rough. I changed the gas filter and the air filter but it still runs rough. The engine sounds like it is very lean when you first start it (It rattles badly then clears right up). Going down the road it misses and cuts in and out. The oil pressure is normal and the temp is normal. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

i am not that familar with the 3.8, but if it has a distributor, check the cap for carbon tracking. if there is rep;ace the cap and rotor

Sounds like ignition to me. What do the plugs look like? lean? Could be a faulty fpr.
Have you checked to make sure the plug boots are up on the plugs good? None of the wires are burnt?

Re: 95 Mustang 3.8 V6 Running real rough all of a sudden.
This vehicle has no distributor. How long has it been since a tune up. Is the check engine light on? If it is have the codes pulled to isolate which cylinder(s) have the miss
