I am replacing the engine speed sensor on a 1999 2.0l (ABA engine) Jetta. It is located in a tight spot behind the front engine/transaxle mount. Is there a special way to replace without removing the engine mount. I have removed the bolt, but am having a tough time getting the old sensor out. Any help would be appreciated.

I figured out my question myself. The answer is yes, you have to unbolt the front engine mount to get the sensor out. Once the mount is out of the way, I was able to replace the sensor easy.
