Dash lights

Hello, I was loking for some help with my 2002 Caravan se.

My lights on the dash around the gear selection have been surrounded by a box. Each gear has its own individual box. This just happened this morning and now, this evening the check engine light has come on. I had a hesitation in the engine as well this evening whie driving. There is no one open until Monday, so I was looking for a little guildance until then.

I just went out to the van and tried to get diagnostic codes. Held the trip button on the odometer and got these codes E100.3 and E400.1

Found codes p1684 p1698 p0500 when I did the key dance

checked the tcm and did not find any corrosion or problems with wiring

brought it into the trans shop and the end result was a new tcm and program.
