Fuel Gauge
I bought a fuel gauge at a swap meet. All the parts are in a bag. A ceramic plate with two holes a fiber gasket and to brass wire connectors.
I need to know in what order they go on the back of the gauge. Which wire is which. If some one has a photo that would be great. Jim

Re: Fuel Gauge
A bit more info might help us help you Jim.
What year Chevelle? What trim level - basic gauge package or deluxe or super sport? Tom

Re: Fuel Gauge
If its for the '65, I have black w/pink tracer as being the feed from the ignition switch, and tan as going to the sending unit. Don't know if thats 100%...
I've been trying to find a pic... |

Re: Fuel Gauge
The gauge has three posts. looking from the back you would have east post, west post, and south post.
I think the south is ground. West is to the sending unit. East is hot. There is a ceramic block and a fiber block. I need to know in what order I stack the blocks and the wire connectors. |

Re: Fuel Gauge
On my 66, it goes, fiber (Brown thing) first then contacts which wrap around the ceramic plate. If that helps?
