Keyless Entry

Hey, who here has keyless entry, and what brand do you have? Also does anyone have a how-to on installing the actuators? I remember someone posted some pics of theirs where they bent the rods so they could mount the actuators underneath the exterior handle mounting location... any help will be appreciated...

I've been thinking of going with AutoLoc, but haven't looked into anything else...

Oh yeah, also, can the autoloc actuators be used with any alarm system, or am I going to have to have one remote for the alarm, and one remote for the keyless system?

I got keyless entry, came with my Alpine alarm. The car came with it, so I can't tell you any details about the system.

1 week, 6 days ago I went to modesto CA and had an Audiovox Prestige Platinum alarm installed under h4bangin's reccomendation. Great alarm and no problems with it to date (other than my friend setting it off with his system for kicks)

I just put this kit together for civic16valver, Jim in the UK.
Incuded in the kit is: two door lock motors, all the wiring, one switch,
hardware, wire ties. I still need to make some install instruction for it.
You can hook this kit up to any alarm. I will sell you a kit too if you are interested. let me know.

perfect! EXACTLY what I was looking for...

I still need to know if the AutoLoc actuators will work with other alarm systems, using an extra channel on the alarm or whatever...

Yes they should work with any alarm with the addition of relays. your alarm should have door lock outputs on it already. What kind of alarm do you have?

None right now, my old one shorted out and fried my ignition switch and wouldn't let me start the car so I had to take it out. I'll be getting a new one in the next few weeks, so I want to do the sedan rear door handle/keyless entry mod at the same time.
