Ferrari F430

Here's my Ferrari F430. It's built from the Fujimi "option parts" version. I made some modifications to the kit; I removed all molded-in mesh and replaced it with photo-etched mesh, cut open the side windows, and added 5-point racing harnesses. I also used Crazy Modeler Ferrari scripts, cavaillinos, and Pininfarina scripts on the body, and SMS carbon fiber decals on the center console and dash. The paint is authentic Ferrari "Blu tour de France" from Zero paints, cleared with Zero lacquer. Thanks for looking!

Re: Ferrari F430

Nice job on the F430 Joe Blyth and the blue color is different but nice even though I only like this car in red. You also did the wheels justice by giving them either a dull coat or did you spray them silver because they usually have that crome look right off the sprue. Yours got that real look to the wheels. Also like carbon fiber treatment to the dash.

Re: Ferrari F430

Looks pretty good!
My only comment is that you throw more light onto the front of the kit when taking the pictures, as it's all clouded in shadow and doesn't reveal the nice details very well.

Re: Ferrari F430

Thanks a lot, guys!

fastdupree, I stripped the kit plating and painted them with aluminum metalizer, then buffed them.

koksik, I mixed my own color for the interior using Tamiya desert sand and orange.

Re: Ferrari F430

Wow, that blue is intense! Would be interested in seeing it in softer light too if that's possible

Re: Ferrari F430

Looks very nice, congrats, I like it in blue. The interior suits well also, but I am not really fan of the red seatbelts with the tan interior, but it is only my taste, very nice build overall
