amp help
Hey guys I'm sure this type of question has been asked before but I'd appreciate any help...I have 2 12' pioneer subs (TS W300R) and I need to know what amp to buy and where is the cheapest place to get one. I dont want a crazy good amp, just something decent and relatively inexpensive(that suites my subs)...I have a link to the specs but honestly I dont know what they mean, which is why I came here so rather than trying to learn all about it, some experienced people could help me out...Heres the link http://www.shopping.com/xPF-Pioneer-...-Cone-TS-W300R

Re: amp help
go to Crutchfield.com they not only tell you what will fit in your car but show which amps work with which components, skeakers, amps, etc. Overall theyre a bit pricy but as long as you get the info. you can take it to your favorite electronic store or of corse the always reliable ebay....

Re: amp help
thanks that was very helpful...one more question tho...since I have 2 subs that can take 150rms does that mean I need a sub that can put out 150rms or 300rms?
edit: I think I understand now....can some one tell me if this amp matches up well or maybe I'm still not getting this?? http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...000&c=3&tp=115 |

Re: amp help
no, you have (I think) two four ohm subs, that means you can get either 8 or 2 ohms when wiring them, you should look for an amp that is 2 ohm stable in bridged mode with around 300-400 watts rms, go to walmart and get the 760 watt pioneer they have, it'll be a good amp for your subs and it'll match too, I think its around $170

Walmart Ebay you can get a good hifonics amp, for around 100-150. And if they are dual or single voice coil you can get a good Mono amp that is 2 ohms stable. Or a good 2 channel amp and run each sub on its own channel. If you dont like ebay, www.sonicelectronix.com or www.onlinecarstereo.com Ive used both places and have had good service with both.
