Replacement tires for 99 grand am se 4 cyl.

Hello Pontiac owners,
I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE 4cyl. The tire size is P225 50 R16 91S.
The vehicle has the originol equipmet Goodyear Eagle LS's. I have not read many positive comments about the Goodyear Eagle LS's. I would like to try another type/brand of tire. Living in Michigan, I need a tire for all seasons. My biggest concerns are hydroplaning and handling on ice. What would be a good replacement tire for this car? I am not concerned with high performance, just a safe and comfortable ride.
Thank you for your suggestions

Re: Replacement tires for 99 grand am se 4 cyl.

I'm using Bridgestone Potenza G009's and they've been really good in light snow/slush and amazing in the rain. Just got them so they haven't been through a full-on winter yet. Tire noise is silent until you hit the highway and they're still pretty quiet even then. They also have a 50,000 mile warranty

Here's the tirerack link.

I also here Goodyear Tripletred's are really good, especially in the snow. They've got an 80,000 mile warranty.
