TS Antenna

I have been looking around for an adapter plate to I can replace the factory cassette deck with a DIN style CD player.

The plates are hard to find here in The Netherlands but available pretty readily on the net.

However in my searching I have come accross mention of an antenna adapter for GM cars.

So my question is do I need an adapter to be able to plug the factory antenna on a 1994 Transport into an after market stereo?
