another 3.4 issue this time removal...

removing and replacing the 3.4 in my 98 sho.... dropped cradle and... cant get the vehicle high enough in the air to get the cradle assy out!!!! no lift available what now?!?!

Your post is just begging for abuse.

We could be more helpful if you would describe how you presently have it supported and how much more clearance you need. Also, how are you lowering the cradle and what do you have to raise the car? What kind of blocks, cribbing, helpful friends do you have, because you need to find out quick? How much money are you willing to spend to make this work?

i think im just gonna end up putting the car up higher on blocks under the jacks and jackstands and hope for the best! i need i would say another foot and a half to two feet of clearance and my jackstands are maxed out as far back as they can go! this is so stupid ill let u guys know wat happens...

Just be extra careful. The higher you go and the more cribbing you use, the more tipsy things get. You might want to use some cross bracing tying your supports together and also nail some boards to the side of the stack of boards to stabilize and tie them together. Avoid using cynder block if you can as used wrong it will collapse. Good luck and no posts from the hospital!
