MKV Radio Problems

Hello,

Having intermittent and wierd problems with radio/cd player in a 05 Golf. Problems include:
If no CD in the player then cd player interrupts radio transmission every few minutes looking for a CD.
CD often remains stuck in player for days/weeks (I use the radio every day) and will not play or eject. Then suddenly one day it will play as normal.
The biggest problem of all is that radio could start at any time when the car is unattended. This has left we with a flat battery on a few occasions.
Garage have updated software, I have removed fuse to reset device. All to no avail. Am not covered by guarantee so any suggestions/ideas are welcome...
