Hub nut socket

I'm looking for a hub nut socket to remove the hub nut from a 2001 Sportage. Can anyone help? Thanks.

LMP, Thanks for your reply. You are correct, it is the spindle nut I am speaking of. The vehichle is 2WD. The spindle is approx. 1 inch in diameter, and the nut is perfectly round with two slots on the edge 180 degrees apart. The slots accept the two "teeth" of the special socket. I actually found the socket and a ph. number to order it from in the Feb. 2000 issue of Tech Times on the KGIS web site. The problem is it's $46 and would be back ordered with no idea how long (possibly months) it would take to ship.

Re: Hub nut socket

You are talking the "spindle" nut , the one that shows once you have removed the front hubs (is that a 4WD).

..May be a little bit more details would help...
