The bulbs on the both sides are good.
When I use remote to lock/unlock the car, the brake lamps on both sides flash flawlessly. However, when I press the brake, only left side brake lamps are turned on, nothing happen on the right side brake lamp. I have checked the 15A brake lamp fuse, it's good. I can't find any brakelamp related relay/circut board from owner's manual. Thanks for any advice. |

Re: Weird brake lamps problem
Check the switch down by the brake panel. Otherwise get a wiring diagram and see where it goes to each side brake light. Check grounds by the brake lights.

Re: Weird brake lamps problem
I have the same kind of problem.
The brake lights on the right side are OK. But on the left side, only one bulb light up (and responding brighter as I press the brakes) and the other one stays on, but doesn't swich phases when I brake. I suppose the wires are fine cause the light turns on, right? Where should I check to make it respond as I brake? |

Re: Weird brake lamps problem
Check a haynes manual and look at the wiring diagram. If this isn't good enough go to http://www.alldata.com/ they have good wiring diagrams. Cost $25.00 per year for one vehicle.
