99 GMC Jimmy Heat goes Hot Cold hot cold

I have 99 GMC jimmy 4.3 with auto climate control. The heat would blow hot then cold hot cold and you could here a motor running under the dash. Now it just blows hot air. The controls for where it sends the air works and so does the fan motor controlls. I read the post on replacing the blend motor but I still cant figure out how to get at the 2 screws that hold the blend motor to the air plenum. Do I have to roll the dash forward to do this? Can you buy just the new aluminum gear or do you have to buy the whole assembly? This is my 5th forum and nobody has been able to explaine how to get at this motor. Nice pics on the thread but it doesnt look the same as mine. Please help . Thank you Dan 612-685-6586

Re: 99 GMC Jimmy Heat goes Hot Cold hot cold

Are you asking about the air tempt valve sensor or actuator motor on right hand top of it?
The how to section may have some pictures or how to on it.
Does it have any codes or flashing lights?
Have you checked for good vacuum to controls?
Has the battery been changed or went dead or any charging system problems?
Have you tryed to recalibrate it?
Pull RDO/BATT fuse for a minute and reinstall it.
