I am not getting any fire to the coil on my 89 plymouth voyager. I am going to change the ignition switch I have changed everthing else that I can think of if this is'nt it I am going to have to get a new brain I think if anyone can tell me something I am not thinking of I would be greatful thanks if the brain goes bad would that make my van just die while I was driving it cause I have changed about everything else that I can think of

Code 12 is the battery has been disconnected in the last 50 cycles and 55 means end of codes.
You say that you have changed distributor cap, I am assuming you also replaced the rotor at the same time if not do so. Here is a site that gives you directions for testing the ignition system for no start: http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm I recommend doing these test before replacing the SCC.
