I've been reading about a s13 to s15 front end conversion, and I was just wondering if anyone actually has went through it and is it worth it?
It seems like it would cost some money and a great amount of time to custom fit the headlight sockets and all that, fix the hood hinges, and I believe the kit only comes with fenders? So all that dosnt include price for the headlights, Silvia hood, grille front bumper... Lots of money and time.. Dosnt sound like it'd be worth it to me.. :jump: |

Just do the Sileighty conversion if you have a hatch...
If you have a coupe do the Silvia conversion S15...way too much money You got the parts which is around 2500, the labor, then the paint and not to mention shipping and the lovely hassle. Oh did I also mention the hassle? Well that includes worrying about your car being stolen :finger: |

It's when you put a S13 silvia front on the hatchback.I think it looks pretty nice and it doesnt cost as much as the S15 conversion.I have seen it for sale as low as $1000.

Anyone had an experience with a front clip from any of the silvias? Just curious how that works out.

what do you mean front clip? do you mean putting fenders from the JDM car onto a US one? it's a direct bolt on. it's exactly the same chassis.
Sileighty got it's name thusly: Silvia front end (take the front end of the word Silvia = Sil), 180SX back end (take the back end of the word 180 - eighty). now put them together, and you get Sileighty. another variation is the Onevia (reverse of Sileighty, 180SX front on Silvia Coupe rear end.) Onevia's are nothing special to us North American's though, since technically all S13 240SX coupes sold over here were sold as Onevia's, but in japan it's certainly different.

180SX w/the Skyline Tailights in the back....preferably R32 or R33 (not sure if they are the same dimensions) |

for a straight Sileighty like the one NISSANSPDR posted, you spend hardly any time modifying. no custom fabrication is need to make the parts fit. since the American 240SX chassis is identical to the Japanese one, the parts bolt straight on in no time.
