i have a 1998 achieva 3.1 i drove it work one day and noticed my temp going up
(lucky i made it to work) when i check my oil it was white first thought was head gasket hoping its something easy

Welcome to AF and sorry for the late reply !

Sounds like you might have a lower intake gasket leaking coolant into your oil, though your head gaskets could be bad if it was overheated drasticly!!.

Have you drained and checked your oil for coolant ???

If it does, I would limit driving it untill its repaired.
Continueing to drive it WILL damage your bearings and ruin you engine, costly repairs too!

You could have the compression tested to see if your head gaskets are blown too.
