98 trooper coolant leak

98 trooper with 3.5 had I replaced the waterpump and timing belt about 30,000 miles ago. I had the starter go bad and replaced that and noticed a coolant leak. Hoses good (also replaced) do you think that water pump is bad already or should I just open it back up and take a peak?? Im not sure what else might be leaking if its comming from under the front motor cover, which that what it looks like.

Re: 98 trooper coolant leak

Coolant coming from front cover is highly likely to be either the water pump seal or gasket.

Re: 98 trooper coolant leak

Thanks for reply, this hasnt leaked for a while now, I think the oil change place may have overfilled something but I am not sure. I usually do my own oil changes but when cold I will take it in. Thats my guess right now. Thanks again
