a different Odyssey transmission question

My 2000 Odyssey currently has about 133K miles on it.
At 92K the transmission went out and was replaced via warranty.

Is the replaced transmission covered by the same 100K warranty?

Also, now the transmission when going into reverse, that is the column shift lever is put from P to R, the transmission physically does a big "KLUNK" almost as if the throttle was being applied, though it is only at idle. It functions in reverse correctly.

And,
I can not physically mover the column shift lever below D4. That is the shift lever will go into P, R, N and D4 but not lower into D3, 2 or 1.
It is as if those "choices" were not even there, like the physical limit was D4. But the driving is normal and goes smoothly through all the lower gears when driving.

(I hate this transmission - it's bugged me the way it worked since I bought the car - the entire "learning thing".)

sounds like whoever did the install did something wrong. and your out of warrenty by 33k so any repairs from now on wont be covered

The replacement trans worked fine and had no problems until just recently.

draaaca, any warranty depends on your servicing dealership. From what I've read, if you didn't contribute to the cost of the replacement transmission, there's no warranty on that trans. If you paid some of the cost (Typically $250), It will have 3yrs/36Kmi coverage from the time of install. Sounds weird I know, but that's been the experience of lots of owners. You're done for anyway seeing as you have ~40K on the replacement trans. In regards to not being able to shift lower than D4 sounds like the shift cable/linkage is out of adjustment. Honda definitely mis-engineered the 4spd and early 5spd autos, but most Ford Windstars and Dodge Caravans were lucky to make it past 60K w/out trans failure. 2007+ Odysseys have the heavier-duty 4-shaft trans that was originally designed for the Ridgeline. Honda also added return line filters in 2002. Your replacement trans should have an inline filter installed in the cooler return line. You might want to look into changing that and doing an ATF swap. These transaxles- like any other minivan, need ATF changes every 30Kmi or sooner.
