New to using connectors

I have got a question about using these on the mp4/4 i'm doing.
I couldn't find a good thread on doing this.

I have not done wiring before but I am willing to give a go!
I have seen the other mclarens but the one I really want to go off is Steve Noble's great build, the mp4/5b.

Sorry about taking a pic of your thread Steve, but it was the only way I could explain what I want to do.

1.The side where it say's 'Marlboro' and 'shell' that have the wires leading into the cockpit.
How do u get the 'zip tie' things around the actual wires and what to use and how to mount them? Glueing, drilling holes...?

2.Also on the taper cover where it says 'honda', how could I mount the connectors I have above, sort of like Steve did? I thought of sticking them on. Because i don't have the bracket that the connectors join into?

I do have a WIP on what I am doing.

Please someone guide me.

I can help you I think and no problem using my photo.

1:The wires are not glued to the side of the cockpit.Simply prepare the wires and drill 2 very small holes either side of the wires. Then use very fine wire, thread it through the 2 holes that you drilled and twist them together under the monocoque out of sight and trim the ends. The wires will be held in place without any messy glue.

2: If there are already connectors moulded in place it is best to cut them off and sand the area smooth. You can make a small bracket from fine brass sheet and superglue this in place. Then you can mount your new connectors to this 'bracket'

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Steve.
