Maintenance: Not using my car
So I canceled my car insurance. I would leave it unused at least for a year or 2, I unplugged the battery, what else do I need to do when I leave the car for so long without using it?

Re: Maintenance: Not using my car
Are you unable to come start it once in a while? I recommend starting it up and letting it warm up about once a month. That should keep everything from rusting up internally.

Re: Maintenance: Not using my car
Be sure to use a gasoline stabilizer such as Sta-Bil. A double dose of the product will keep your gas fresh for 2 years and I am speaking from experience. I would also fill the gas tank as full as possible to prevent condensation. Change your engine oil and filter to get any acids out of the crankcase that could attack engine bearings over time. I hope the vehicle will be stored inside a building. A car cover might be nice. Air your tires up so hopefully over time the amount of air they loose won't leave you with flat tires when you need to put it back on the road. These are just some of my thoughts and if I thought about it further I could probably come up with more.
